Documents for H.L. Salsbury Capt. 26th U.S.C.T. for pay due him less deductions for servants, subsistence, etc. Identifies his servant "Frank" of black coloring, black hair and black eyes. Also certification of returns of all property of the U.S. and that he is not indebted or accountable on account for pay or accoutrements, ammunition, stores, clothing, camp equipage, medicine or medical instruments or any other accounts "except for ordnance and ordnance stores $21.25 and for camp and garrison equipage. Signed on the 13th day of September1865. Has canceled 5 cent stamp. Also includes letter that he has not received pay for Jan.-June 1865 as Commandant of Company D 26th U.S. Colored Troops.
