Pin bar has "Massachusetts Minute Men 1861" on it. Back of medal "The Commonwealth of Massachusetts April 15, 1861- To the Mebers of the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia Who Were Mustered Into the United States Service in Response to President Lincoln's First Call for Troops." Has a piece of printed paper with "Soldier History" for Eugene Wright, enlisted as a Private on 4-19-1861. On 5-1-1861 he mustered into "G" Co. MA 5th Infantry. Mustered out 7-31-1861 at Boston, MA. Has written note "Bull Run 3 mon" as well. With original box.
