Postmarked Nov. 29, 1912 from Vancouver, Wash., it has a stamp of back for "F. Truckenrogt, Battery E 2nd F.A. No. 103". Message has "this picture was taken on the range at Warm Springs Indian Reservation. The pciture shows our guns in action and ready for firing....Your Brother Fred." Addressed to his sister at an orphan Farm School in Mt. vernon, New York. Shows soldiers in uniforms with campaign hats, with cannon in foreground (one visible in background) and serveral plugging their ears in preparation for blast. Approximately 3-1/2" x 5-1/2", divided back, used. |
