Die stamped brass sword belt plate, with an eagle quarter to left and 13 stars. (See Kerksis Belt Plate book, fig. 226.) Kerksis indicates, from field recoveries, it was worn by soldiers on both sides of the Civil War. He shows excavated specimen from Cedar Mtn. on pg. 525. 2¼" x 3 1/3". $ 250.00
